Holiday Events!

Dec. 2nd - The Tree Lighting Ceremony hosted by Hughesville Rotary will be Fri Dec. 2nd at 7pm on the corners of Main & Water Streets. Local church choirs will be there caroling.

Dec 4th - The Annual Christmas Parade, with the arrival of Santa Claus is Sun. Dec 4th at 12:30 (meet at Hughesville High School parking lot at noon) marches at 12:30 pm. Prize winners will be announced at the Hughesville Fire Hall immediately afterward.  The childrens Christmas party hosted by GHBA and the American Legion will be at 1pm same day at the Hughesville Fire Hall.

Dec 4th - Shopping for Validations ends at 4pm Sun. Dec 4th with the drawing at 6pm at "Not Just a Bean"

Horse and Carriage rides will be available Sat & Sun from 1:30-3:30 meet at Ford Collision Center Main Street, Hughesville for pick up.

Polar Express Magic Mountain Disappearing Train is on display and running at the East Lycoming Historical Society, where you can also have family photos taken by Brenda Whitmoyer of Lasting Memories Photography.

5-to-Drive Holiday Giveaway: November 24 thru December 4 2011 up until 4:00pm. Drawing to be held at "Not Just a Bean" at 6:00pm Sunday, December 4, 2011.

Pick up your ticket at any of the participating retailers. Qualifying dates of purchase are November 25 through and including December 4, 2011 up until 4:00pm. Purchases are required to be eligible for validation and entry into the "5-to-Drive" Holiday Giveaway. Purchases must be made to at least 5 (five) different participating merchants. Some merchants may have minimum required purchases to validate. Not all donators are validating participants. Upon qualifying purchase have the merchant validate the back of your ticket. Be sure to fill in your name, address and phone number on the bake of the ticket. Once you have acquired the five different validations, drop your ticket off at Doug Spotts Appliances to be entered in the drawing. Tickets may not be combined. You may enter more than once, provided you still meet the 5 different validations per entry. Tickets without 5 validations will not be eligible for prizes. Must be 18 years of age or older to enter.
